Over the years Rob's biggest frustration has been asked to have a look at a floor or a counter top that "has this or that wrong with it." More often than not the do it yourselfer has missed a very basic step in the process or was just not capable of doing the job to their own satisfaction. By the time Rob gets involved, in most cases it is to late. Help is available by making one or two site visits before any mistakes are made. The cost is minimal and the stress level going into the "unknown" is reduced or eliminated all together.

The worst enemy Rob has is the person who has done an acid floor or especially a countertop by themselves and the result ended up as a substandard job. The client then has had to either remove or cover up their mistake. From this point on this client is spreading bad information to other potential concrete lovers that concrete countertops and floors are a bad thing because they "never turn out" or "acid floors don't last long because the colour came out." The truth is they have made mistakes. If the job had been done right the first time the very same person would have the exact opposite view of artistic concrete and it's applications.
